Where else have you lived?

I've only lived in Auburn. I live about half a mile from the house I grew up in.

Still have family around Auburn

Yes, my sister, Margaret lives in Auburn. My brother, Allan did live in Sumner but passed away September 2011. My sister, Nancy lives in Fircrest.

What do you do now?

I volunteer at Dick Scobee Elementary several days a week, working in the library and in a couple of classrooms, also got involved, again, with PTA. I work at Federal Way Family History Center (genealogy), and still volunteer at some Camp Fire events. I play in 2 Bunco groups.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Since I found the website, I've been in contact with several classmates but have yet to meet with any.

Past jobs?

I enjoyed my job with the school district, working 20 years at Dick Scobee Elementary. It's surprising how many people who graduated from Auburn went into education. At one time there were about 15 AHS graduates working at Scobee. Jim Scobee came to a lot of events at the school. It was good to see and chat with him. Of course Kay Holman Evans worked there many years, too.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I still do a variety of crafts, love puzzles (crossword and jigsaw), and working on genealogy. Even though some find it ghoulish or just plain weird, I have been taking headstone photos for "Find A Grave". We have about 15 of our classmates in Mountain View Cemetery. I've also found several of our teachers.

Travel much?

I've done several trips to Disneyland in the last 10 years. (No, I haven't grown up, just older.) Two years ago, I took my granddaughter, Calise, her other grandmother, Bev, and Calise's half-brother, Chris. Bev and Chris had never been there so it was fun to share the experience with them. People asked how I liked traveling with an 11 year old and I said - He survived the trip so we must have gotten along okay!
Last fall, my sister and I went to Salt Lake City, via California and Nevada, to do genealogy for several days. We gambled across Nevada and still had enough money for the rest of our trip!
